Accessibility statement
Spacement is meant to be usable by everyone, regardless of ability or the assistive technology they use. As a purely B2B platform, Spacement does not fall within the scope of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG). We follow its standards voluntarily, because accessibility is part of how we define quality. This statement covers the website and web application spacement.co.
Standards we follow
We build Spacement along the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA, and the European standard EN 301 549. Accessibility is part of our development process: new features are checked against these criteria, and the platform is reviewed for barriers regularly.
What we have implemented
- Full keyboard operability with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element
- A skip link to the page content and semantic landmarks for screen readers
- Colour contrast to WCAG AA for text and controls
- Forms with programmatically associated labels and error messages announced by screen readers
- Adjustable display via the accessibility settings in the footer of every page: text size, high contrast, reduced motion and underlined links
- A responsive layout that supports zooming up to 200% without loss of functionality
- Animations respect the system-level reduced-motion setting
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, not every area is fully accessible yet. Currently known:
The interactive map view offers limited screen reader support. All listings are also available through the list view and search.
Photos uploaded by hosts do not always come with descriptive alternative text.
Embedded third-party services, such as payment processing by Stripe and the security check by Cloudflare, are partly outside our control.
We are working to remove these limitations.
Feedback and contact
Hit a barrier? Write to support@spacement.co or use our contact form. We take every report seriously and fix reported barriers as quickly as possible.
Legal context
The BFSG applies to services offered to consumers. Spacement is aimed exclusively at business customers and is therefore outside its scope. This statement is voluntary information, not a statement under Section 14 BFSG, and does not create any legal obligations or claims. We build accessibly anyway, because a good platform should work for everyone, not just for most.
This statement was last reviewed on 16 July 2026. We review it regularly and update it as the platform changes.
